Situated within the bustling Yogyakarta International Airport, Solaria offers travelers a reliable and comforting dining option before boarding their flights. Specializing in classic Indonesian fare, Solaria brings familiar flavors to an otherwise transient setting, striking a balance between convenience and satisfying taste.
The restaurant's menu features beloved staples such as nasi goreng kambing (goat fried rice), sweet and sour fish filet, and a variety of refreshing drinks like soursop juice and lychee tea. These dishes conjure a warm, nostalgic embrace — from the fragrant, spice-kissed nasi goreng to the crisp, lightly breaded fish filet paired with tender chicken and fresh vegetables, each plate serves a generous portion that nourishes both body and spirit. While the portion size for some dishes may vary, the flavors consistently deliver a sense of home-cooked goodness in an airport setting.
The dining atmosphere at Solaria echoes the steady, unpretentious energy of a well-loved local spot. There's a comforting buzz as travelers share the quiet ritual of fueling up—where food arrives warm, like a gentle hug you didn’t know you needed before a flight. Although the ambiance lacks luxury and the staff may not always greet you with exuberant warmth, the restaurant’s straightforward layout—pay at the front desk, take a number, and relax—keeps the experience efficient and practical.
Given its location inside the airport, pricing reflects typical airport rates, but Solaria remains one of the best options when it comes to balancing quality and convenience amid a scarcity of good culinary alternatives. For those wanting to avoid the occasional hassle and uncertainty of outside vendors, Solaria promises a steady, fuss-free dining experience.
Ultimately, Solaria at Yogyakarta International Airport represents more than just a meal; it is a quiet, dependable pause in the whirlwind of travel. Whether you crave a flavorful Indonesian classic or a thick, indulgent vanilla milkshake (albeit a bit sweet), this spot quietly comforts travelers, setting the tone for journeys ahead with familiar tastes and a welcoming, steady rhythm.

My nasi goreng was waaay too salty.. but maybe I'm just unlucky that day though.. this airport don't have many good restaurants and Solaria certainly is a good choice after checking in and before entering the gates.

While you’re waiting for your flight why don’t you get some energy before? They have a lot of options on the menu for my part I always take their nasi goreng kambing and is always good even if the portion is inconsistent. The vanilla milkshake is too sweet for me but it was thick so not bad. The price is airport price so no surprise. The staff isn’t very friendly but same you’re in the airport so don’t expect too much. Have a safe flight and bon appetit

The reviews showed this place on top for restaurants so i went here. You pay at the front desk, take a number and sit. You have many options. I ordered the sweet and sour fish filet and a soursop juice and lychee tea. The drinks were super delicious and perfect. The fish filet plate was also tasty but the fish portion was quite small and breaded. It also has chicken on the plate mixed with vegetables so if you are vegetarian or pescatarian ask to remove. In the end all was good. The tables were a bit dirty but the food and drinks were tasty!

One of the dining places inside the airport. You can get a better deal outside of the airport, but there are a lot of people offering you stuff ( potentially scam) so if you want to eat near the airport without the hassle, you can try this place.

Before boarding... quietly comforting stop every traveler drifts into when they're not looking for luxury, but for stability. Because truth be told, no flight ever feels calm on an empty stomach. You eat first, so your mind can follow. There's something almost nostalgic about Solaria: the generous portions, the steady buzz of people, the way the food arrives warm like a hug you didn't know you needed. It's the kind of place that reminds you that peace doesn't always come from exclusive lounges. sometimes it's served on a plate that simply makes you feel human again.
